Abdul VALLY appointed Country Manager/CEO for South Africa

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Abdul Vally as Country Manager/CEO for Coface in South Africa as of 1 July 2025. Abdul will be based in Johannesburg and will report directly to Ernesto De Martinis, CEO of the Mediterranean and Africa Region.

Abdul has held key leadership roles in and most recent role as General Manager for Trade Credit, Bonds, Surety, Marketing & Sales. He was responsible for developing and implementing integrated strategies to create market-leading products and enhance operational efficiency.

With over 29 years’ experience in trade credit, Abdul brings a dynamic leadership approach to drive growth and innovation within the organization.

Abdul's career started in 1996 as a Bureau Reporter. He progressed through various key roles, including Assistant General Manager of Trade Credit, Assistant General Manager of the International Division, and Senior Manager of Trade Credit for Commercial & SME.

Abdul holds Management Advancement Program (MAP) at Wits Business School and a General Management Program (GMP) at Gibbs Business School.

Abdul's trade credit insurance expertise and his client and broker focus will be valuable for South Africa's market and entity.

With over 20 years’ experience in trade credit, Abdul brings a dynamic leadership approach to drive growth and innovation within the organisation.
